Jump & Shout Cheer Camp

Featuring Senior, Level 5 and Worlds Coaches from Regina and Area

Take a break from the summer days – come out and meet some new friends, learn some new skills, and have fun!

Participants will receive:

  • Cheer scrunchie and decorator bow
  • Instruction and interaction with certified cheerleading coaches and athletes from around Regina.
  • Personalized one-on-one instruction to improve their cheerleading skills in a fun camp environment
  • Cheerleading skills to be taught at the camp include:
    • motions and dance
    • jump skills and transitions
    • basic gymnastics skills
    • beginner stunting and spotting skills
  • Campers will perform a short showcase routine for family and friends at the end of Day 2.
  • Participants must be between 5 and 13 years of age (inclusive, must be entering Kindergarten in the fall).
  • No experience is needed; we welcome beginner to advanced cheerleaders.

 

Camp Details:

August 10 & 11, 2019

9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Location Update: Boss Athletics at 637 Dewdney Avenue East – Unit D

Drop off at 8:45 am and pick up at 3:00 pm.  Please bring lunch, snacks and water.  Please refrain from packing foods containing nuts.

Cost: $100.00 per participant for camp registration or $120 per participant for camp registration and camp-themed shirt.

All campers require a Community Association membership; please add on $10.00 to the registration fee if you require one TLCA will issue you a number if you register on-line under our membership page.

 

Deadline for registration is July 15th, 2019.  There will be a maximum of 60 participants, so register early!

 


Toddler Cheer

Ages 2.5 – 3.5 Years

Our preschool program introduces your athletes to teamwork, cheers and motions. It is a fun curriculum that will include some introductory gymnastic skills, games, dancing and stunting. Athletes can start at age 2.5 and parents are welcome to stay in the gym as their child adjusts to the format and instructor. Please ensure that you register your child in the age appropriate class.


Preschool Cheer

Ages 4 Years

Our preschool program introduces your athletes to teamwork, cheers and motions. It is a fun curriculum that will include some introductory gymnastic skills, games, dancing and stunting. Athletes can start at age 2.5 and parents are welcome to stay in the gym as their child adjusts to the format and instructor. Please ensure that you register your child in the age appropriate class.


Preschool Intro to Cheer

Ages 4 – 5 Years

Our intro to cheer beginner programs covers all aspects of cheerleading. These include: cheers, jumps, motion technique, formation and floor transitions, dancing and stunting.  It’s a fun and dynamic program that takes these skills and builds them into a routine. This is the perfect program for athletes that are new to cheer, dance and tumbling and want to give it a try.


Youth Intro to Cheer

Ages 5 – 9 Years

Our intro to cheer beginner programs covers all aspects of cheerleading. These include: cheers, jumps, motion technique, formation and floor transitions, dancing and stunting.  It’s a fun and dynamic program that takes these skills and builds them into a routine. This is the perfect program for athletes that are new to cheer, dance and tumbling and want to give it a try.


Cheer Developing

Ages 6 – 9 Years

The developing cheer program is for athletes that have some previous experience in dance, cheer, gymnastics or organized sports.  This class will move at a faster pace than the beginner classes with great emphasis on choreography, stunt and tumbling progressions and advancing skills.  Previous experience is not a requirement but it suggested due to the pace of the class.


Pom / Cheer Dance

Ages 6 – 10 Years

This is a dance-based program that will focus on creating effects with poms through motions, formations, footwork and jumps. It will then be put all together with creative and fun choreography. Dances will be a high energy combination of hip hop, jazz and an element of musical theatre. No stunting or gymnastic skills will be taught in this program.


Cheer Advanced

Ages 8+ Years

These classes will be 75 minutes in length and offer a fast-paced competitive style all-star cheer program. The teams will not compete but have several showcases throughout the year. The program will include advanced skill development in stunting, tumbling, jumps and choreography. The program will base skills and progressions on Saskatchewan Cheerleading Association and Cheer Canada Level 2 guidelines. Sample Level 2 skills include front and back walkovers, back handsprings, basket tosses, twisting aerial movements and braced extended stunts.  Previous experience in dance, cheer, gymnastics or a similar organized sport is recommended.
